Principles of Design Part 3: Unity and Rhythm/Movement

 Unity

Parts are united to make a complete picture, showing a sense of wholeness / completeness in an image, where everything has a place and feels like it is home/belongs.

Rhythm / Movement

Movement is used as a conscious way of guiding the eye through an image - the longer we engage with a journey, the more information we take in about it and stronger relationship we form with a piece. Rhythm helps create both a sense of movement and almost-repetition, subtle variations that keep us locked in for longer. Music, especially flow and beat based styles like Hip-Hop utilize rhythm in a similar way.

Today's Task:

You have 15 minutes to create a mini collage that shows UNITY and another 15 minutes to create a mini collage that shows RHYTHM / MOVEMENT.
