Map of Life @Hudson (Day 2-6)

Begin Sketching the Map of your Life

Early student examples:

Day 2: (Monday)
Process - Using just pencils to start, lay out the shape of the world you are creating that is a symbol for your unique experience being alive in the world. Nothing but pencil should be used at this point. Anyone who is catching up can sketch small at first, but everyone should be on the larger bristol paper by the end of the period.

Remember, you get to decide how you define the boundaries and kingdoms of your heart and the places you've been that helped shape who you are becoming.

There is no right or wrong - but whatever you turn in on Friday is what will be graded.

Day 3: (Tuesday)
Process - Materials will be out for you to begin filling in your map with. No rush - if you are still in pencil phase, that's ok!

Materials available: Collage paper and magazines with glue sticks and scissors, Watercolor paints with brushes and cups, Acrylic Markers for details* (please do not use them to fill large spaces, do that with the watercolors), Markers and Colored Pencils

Day 4: (Wednesday)
Process
- Everyone should be on color or collage by Weds. Students know that there should be no white space left behind for a complete grade.

Day 5/6: (Thurs/Fri)
Process
- Work periods to complete your piece!
