What do they represent?
What about them do we resonate with?
What about them is familiar, or comforting?
What do we learn about ourselves while following them thru their story?
The main character is a central character who acts as the audience surrogate—we experience the story through their eyes.
A main character/protagonist usually has a problem that needs solving.
A main character/protagonist usually has reasons to act.
A main character/protagonist usually has something to lose.
A main character/protagonist usually has something to gain.
A main character/protagonist usually has the capacity to change
A main character/protagonist usually has an interesting flaw.
A main character/protagonist usually has someone or something interesting
trying to stop them.
