Three Objects, Many Outcomes @Hudson (in progress)

Thumbnail Sketches

Using objects in different ways - different configurations of Composition, and to tell different parts of the same story. Playing out our options a few different times helps give us access to richer and more interesting versions of our initial idea. The ideas on the surface are usually the most obvious ones - let's get those out of the way first, so we can find something more compelling!

Some examples:

3 objects: Apple, Sun, Crown

In each section, pick 2 of the three objects and create a sketch of those 2 things interacting somehow. You will have 5-7 minutes per section

Things an apple can be:

+ Apple Tree

+ Apple Pie

+ A character that keeps the doctor away

+ Apple Monster

Things a Sun can be:

+ Shining in the sky

+ Dancing with the Moon

+ Causing a Sunburn

+ Living in Space

+ Wearing Shades

Things a Crown can be:

+ Lost, Buried or Forgotten

+ Stolen by Bandits

+ On the head of an ancient King or Small Child

+ A Graffiti tag

Today's task:

1. Fold your paper into 4 sections

2. Pick 2 of the 3 objects provided and sketch a story/composition/scene in each box, changing the story/composition/scene + objects in each box.
